Occupancy rate fell to 72% for Long Day Care (LDC), driving down revenue despite 22% more enrolments across Australia.
Revenue growth for LDC was slow in the first quarter of 2021, with the fall in occupancy being offset by a 5% increase in ADR.
- The Average Daily Rate (ADR) was reported at $113 nationally, up 5% since Q4-20. The rate was highest in Melbourne, up 13% QoQ and 2% for Sydney.
- The quarterly average revenue potential across Australia at 100% occupancy is $6.9K per place, and the highest was for Melbourne at $8.0K per place.
- The average LDC enrolment was 18 months across Australia, with 22% new enrolments.
